Stage VI: Morality of Universalizable, Reversible, and Prescriptive General Ethical Principles

Do you know what day I loved most in Hollywood? One day before President Obama was sworn into office, Hollywood celebrities made pledges to do great acts of service for the nation as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on January 19th. What a great day for Hollywood celebrities to use their fame to bring attention to how important service is. It doesn’t get much better than honoring the one and only MLK Jr. This man is the face of morality. This well-respected individual, who was able to consider all points of view before making a decision, helped lay the foundation for being good stewards of our nation. MLK Jr. made decisions based upon principles that apply in every situation, like human rights and equality for all human beings. As celebrities pledged their service, it reminded all of us about MLK Jr. and how this great man was able to make decisions and act in a ways that upheld the highest ethical principles. We should have Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service EVERYDAY! Two thumbs up, Hollywood!
